Kathy Bridge-Liles is the Chief Administrative Officer of the soon-to-be newest children’s hospital in America: the Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida. Even at the age of seven, Kathy knew she wanted to help others as a nurse — which she was, for some time. But hard work and advanced degrees later, Kathy has found herself leading one of the most important and vital missions ever to come to Southwest Florida, the construction and completion of a children’s hospital, the only one of it’s kind between Tampa and Miami. There are 200,000-plus kids in the six-county region Children’s Hospital will serve, and the fundraising efforts are rounding third and headed for home, with roughly $16 million still be achieve in 2014. Click here to read how Kathy views her vital responsibilities, then click here to donate to FinishLineforKids.org. You can donate one time or even monthly, starting as little as $5. Just think — if a parent or grandparent donated only $75 per child of the 200,000 children to be served, Kathy’s job would be done — and a safer, healthier future for every child in our region would be guaranteed.
