South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island, in partnership with Sam Galloway Ford Lincoln, is once again hosting its Holiday Stroll this December. In conjunction with the 2014 Captiva Holiday Village, South Seas’ picturesque marina and resort grounds are open to the public and aglow with thousands of twinkling lights for a holiday extravaganza in benefit of Community Cooperative, Inc., a local food bank. On Friday and Saturday evenings from December 12-27, attendees can enjoy live entertainment, arts and crafts, Santa visits, games and more. In addition, Harbourside Bar & Grill, overlooking the festivities at the Yacht Harbour and Marina, and Scoops & Slices will be open to all visitors. To receive a ticket, the public can purchase $10 worth of nonperishable food items at participating area stores including Captiva Provision Company at Chadwick’s Sqaure, The Island Store in Captiva and Bailey’s General Store in Sanibel Island. Children under the age of 12 are free with a nonperishable food donation. Tickets can also be purchased at the door or at Sam Galloway Ford for $10. Resort guests are invited to attend complimentary. Admission includes a ride on the resort’s Jolley Trolley, which will run from 6PM-9PM to transport visitors from South Seas’ South Village to North Pointe, where all the holiday stroll festivities will take place. All proceeds benefit Community Cooperative, Inc., an innovative nonprofit organization made up of social service entrepreneurs fighting to end homelessness and hunger in the community.
