Framed by the tranquil Gulf of Mexico waters, celebrate New Year’s Eve with live music and family-friendly fun at South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island. Open to the public, this iconic 330-acre wildlife preserve’s New Year’s Eve Party will feature live music by local favorite, The Danny Morgan Band, as well as world renowned harmonica player Bob “Sugar Lip” Lotz. Beginning at 8 p.m., resort guests and area visitors enjoy food, drinks and activities on King’s Crown Lawn overlooking Pine Island Sound, with an adult champagne toast at midnight. Public visitors are able to park at Chadwick’s Square in South Village and ride the resort’s trolley to the north end of the resort for the festivities. Tickets are $10 per adult, with proceeds benefitting Community Cooperative Inc., a local food bank.
